A place in the Hamptons

Hello Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Some time back I stumbled across this beautiful and calm retreat in the Hamptons. As we are building our summer house I tend to spend time looking at homes and ideas that fill me with inspiration, and this is certainly one of them.

The Hamptons has somewhat been known (to me at least) to be a favorite destination for the rich and famous. I have never made it there, perhaps because I am neither rich nor famous 😉 …but it doesnt stop me from dreaming and hoping to see more of the East coast one of these days.

Hampton consists of some 20 different villages and from what I have heard they are all as charming and filled with beautiful beaches and houses. This summer house belongs to the owner of a design store called Bloom, located in Sag Harbor, New York. As you can see from all the images below they truly have an exquisite taste.

Its probably no secret that I love white and light summer houses and I think they have done an amazing job in creating this elegant and yet very beachy look and feel. Just spot on what I hope and look forward to creating for our summer house.

Some of you might have seen a picture from this home on my Instagram but I wanted to share all of them because to me it represents a mix of Hamptons and Sweden and of course I love that! Its amazing how the home being all in white, still feels rich,  comfortable and inviting. I love their use of white and natural fabrics, light tones along with a few nice antique pieces. Can never go wrong with that!

This summer place has my name all over it! After seeing this, I am truly convinced that I need to “clean up” our future house as well and try to create a similar light and fresh look. Can´t wait to get into the interior details more….
